Cavallet de Mar Hoop Ring

A couple, lovers of the sea and the Costa Brava, were getting married and wanted some marine-inspired rings. They liked what I was doing and asked me to think of something along those lines. It seemed to me that an alliance, which is always carried on, should be more discreet, more uniform. And if it was a couple's engagement, it clearly had to do with the seahorse (they're monogamous). The square-section seahorse's tail helps it hold up better in places, and it's more resilient ... the strength of its tail, applied to a relationship, also seemed like a nice idea to me. So ... from the mold of the seahorse Formentera (hippocampus hippocampus, here called Cavallet de Mar Xato), I extracted several copies in wax, which I worked and put together. The hoop is made of 4 pieces of tail and therefore widens and thins according to the area. Finally, the couple opted for another option but, thanks to them, here was a beautiful and "sense" ring.

SIZES: The easel hoop measures 3.5mm at its widest point and 2mm at its thinnest point. It has a thickness/height of approx. 3mm. The ring is available in three sizes: 11, 14 and 17. If you need it, see our <Size Guide>.
